Tango Touch

A hybrid of movements, sounds and images from Melbourne public spaces and from the tradition of Argentine tango dance sets the stage to explore interactively how a direct and shared experience of the sense of touch can enhance our bodily connection with self and others and trigger creative forms of engagement with the rhythms of city life.

Concept, choreography and direction by Raffaele Rufo.

Performed by Raffaele Rufo and Valentina Vitolo.

Music by Elian Sellanes.

Light design by Rachel Burke.

The Tango Touch exploration is part of Raffaele Rufo’s PhD project at Deakin University.
