We were commissioned by Transdev to showcase Melbourne’s iconic tram network. Our task was to create striking images that not only highlighted the trams, but also captured the essence of Melbourne itself. In line with Transdev's objectives, our focus went beyond the network itself, instead capturing the people and the sense of movement that makes Melbourne's tram network come alive.
To articulate Transdev's initiatives effectively, we understood the importance of showcasing Melbourne in all its vibrant glory. Our photographers embarked on an immersive journey through the city, capturing iconic landmarks, diverse customers, and bustling streets.
To capture movement within our shots, we employed various techniques such as slow shutter speed and panning. This allowed us to convey the dynamism of Melbourne's tram network, showcasing passengers in motion and creating a sense of energy and vitality.
We recognise the significance of the trams within the urban landscape, acting as a symbol of connectivity and mobility. While the trams were not always the primary focus of our images, their presence was carefully intertwined with the overall narrative. By merging the trams seamlessly into the background, we achieved a visual story that highlighted both the trams and the city in a system of harmony.
