Celebrating National Week of Deaf People

23 – 29 September marks National Week of Deaf People and for the first time, International Day of Sign Language, held on 23 September.

We recently shot Expression Australia’s As Expression Australia celebrates, Olivia Beasley who explains how the theme for 2018 highlights the importance of access and inclusion for Deaf people.

“Without my Deaf identity, I wouldn’t have the passion or the strength to fight for change that breaks down the barriers and allows equal opportunity for all.”

We were delighted to shoot Liv as part of a recent rebranding of the organisation from Vic Deaf to a national body - Expression Australia, and congratulate them on this milestone.
