The McKinnon Prize in Political Leadership

We captured a meeting of two former Prime Ministers of Australian - Julia Gillard and John Howard - who were both on the selection panel for the McKinnon Prize in Political Leadership. Very exciting to photograph this unique moment for the Prize, which is a a collaboration between the Susan McKinnon Foundation and the University of Melbourne through the Melbourne School of Government.

The prize is an annual award recognising two outstanding politicians who have demonstrated exceptional political leadership. The purpose of the prize is to help recognise, reward and inspire visionary, collaborative, courageous and impactful political leadership in Australia. By celebrating examples of great political leadership of our time the prize aims to foster a higher standard of political leadership as a vital means to improve societal wellbeing.
